How do I schedule an appointment?

There are three convenient ways to schedule an appointment!

  1. Online. Visit our website at lorenavets.com – click BOOK APPOINTMENT on the top tab. This will take you to your patient portal where you can request appointment for as soon as the next day.
  2. Phone. Call us at 254.655.VETS.
  3. Text. If you are a client at Lorena Veterinary Center than you can text us at the number provided on our business card and invoices.

What should I bring to my appointment?

We look forward to working with you! Here are a few helpful things to bring to your pet’s upcoming appointment:

  • Records
    • If this is your pet’s first visit with us, please bring a copy of their previous veterinary records.
    • If your pet has been seen before, bring any new records we may not have, such as emergency or specialist visits.
  • Leash or Carrier For everyone’s safety, all pets must arrive on a leash or in a secure carrier. This helps protect your pet and others in our care.
  • Diet, Medications & Supplements Please bring information about your pet’s current diet, medications, and supplements so we can provide the most informed care.

Do you accept Walkins?

We work by appointment only to give each patient focused attention and care. Scheduling allows us to minimize wait times, reduce stress for animals, and give each patient a dedicated time slot so our veterinarians and staff can thoroughly evaluate, diagnose, treat, and discuss concerns.

We do offer same-day appointments on a limited basis each day. We try to hold open several appointments throughout the day specifically for urgent care cases, so if your animal needs to be seen, give us a call.

Can I schedule my pet for a drop-off appointment?

We do offer drop-off appointments on a limited basis. These appointments must be scheduled in advance. Patients should arrive by 9:00 AM, and they’ll be seen between our regularly scheduled appointments. Once your pet has been examined, we’ll contact you to discuss next steps as well as arrange a convenient pick-up time for later in the day. It is important for you to provide us with multiple forms of contact to avoid delay in care.

Can I cancel my appointment?

If something arises to prevent you from keeping your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, and at least 24 hours before your appointment time. This will allow you to reschedule as well as allow this time to be available for your neighbors. Failing to arrive for your appointment or cancelling/rescheduling less than 24 hours before your appointment incurs a fee equivalent to the cost of an exam and may also require a non-refundable fee prior to re-scheduling. Repeat no-shows may be unable to reschedule. Clients who arrive more than ten minutes past their scheduled appointment time may be considered a no‑show and will only be seen at the doctor’s discretion based on availability or rescheduled accordingly.

We understand that there may be times when an unforeseen emergency occurs, and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If you should experience extenuating circumstances, please contact us at 254-655-VETS.

What do I do in an Emergency?

If it is not during office hours visit our website for emergency care providers.

Tip: Print out this list ahead of time so it is readily accessible in an emergency!

What payment types do you accept?

We accept

  • All major credit cards. Any US-issued magstripe or chip cards and Mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay
  • Cash
  • Check. We may request a copy of your driver’s license.

Do you accept Care Credit?

At our clinic, we always strive to provide the best possible care for your pets while keeping costs fair and transparent. After careful consideration, we’ve decided not to accept CareCredit due to concerns about its billing practices. Many pet owners have publicly shared experiences of unexpectedly high charges, and the fees CareCredit imposes on veterinary clinics unnecessarily drive up the overall cost of care.

We want to ensure that every pet receives the care they need without financial surprises. Upon request, we’re happy to provide an estimate of expenses in advance, and we’re always happy to work with you to find ways to keep high quality veterinary care for your pet within your budget.

Do you offer payment plans?

To provide the best possible care for our patients and keep our services accessible and affordable, we do not offer payment plans. We strive to keep our pricing fair and transparent; therefore, we operate on a payment-at-time-of-service basis which helps us avoid extra administrative costs. This allows us to focus our resources on what matters most: your pet’s health.
