Client Service Representative (Veterinary Receptionist) 

Lorena Veterinary Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our fast-paced, team-oriented veterinary practice. About the Role
The CSR is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing client communications, and providing essential administrative support to our medical and management teams. You’ll help ensure each visit is efficient, positive, and aligned with our high standards of patient care. 

What You’ll Do
Greet clients and manage check-in/check-out with warmth and accuracy
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle client communications
Maintain organized, accurate medical records in Shepherd
Process payments and review invoices
Keep reception and exam areas clean and welcoming
Support the medical and management teams with administrative tasks
Maintain a compassionate, professional, team-focused attitude

What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and customer service skills with tact and diplomacy
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
Detail oriented, organized, and reliable
Proficiency with computers, email, and practice management software (Shepherd preferred).
Ability to work collaboratively and support our hospital’s philosophy and medical standards.

Work Environment
Includes long periods of standing/walking, exposure to animals and clinical odors/noise, including working up to 10-hour shifts with extended periods of standing, walking, and movement; lifting 40–50 lbs independently and more with assistance; ability to work safely in a clinical environment with exposure to noise, odors, and animal waste.

Veterinary Assistant  

Lorena Veterinary Center (LVC) is seeking a compassionate, hardworking Veterinary Assistant. Your role is to support and assist our doctors and technicians with hands-on patient care, gentle handling, and essential clinical tasks. If you, enjoy working with animals, thrive in a clinical environment, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team, this position may be a great fit. 

As a Veterinary Assistant, your primary responsibility is patient care. You’ll work directly with doctors and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures, ensuring every patient receives gentle, attentive, and skilled handling. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment. 

What You’ll Do
Provide compassionate care and safe restraint for patients 
Assist with exams, vaccinations, lab sample collection, and procedures
Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples; run in-house lab tests
Take vital signs, collect samples (blood, urine, feces) and perform in-house lab tests
Perform nail trims, ear cleans, and anal sac expression
Administer or dispense medications under doctor supervision
Walk, feed, and monitor hospitalized patients
Communicate with clients and accurately relay LVC discharge instructions
Enter patient data into the software system
Clean and restock exam rooms; sanitize hospital areas; sterilize instruments, clean laundry
Maintain stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgery
Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
Comfortable using computers for charting and transactions
Knowledge of or willingness to learn medical terminology, equipment, safe animal handling, and safety protocols

Work Environment
This role involves long periods of standing/walking, exposure to animal waste, odors, noise, and handling animals that may be fearful or aggressive. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout 10 hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs independently and more with assistance, safely restrain animals up to 200 lbs. Safety protocols, PPE use, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, including OSHA, and DEA is required.

Veterinary Technician 

Lorena Veterinary Center is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail‑oriented Veterinary Technician. Your role is to support and assist our doctors through advanced patient care, technical skills, anesthesia and surgical support, and excellent client communication. As a Veterinary Technician, your primary responsibility is patient care and medical support. You’ll work directly with doctors during exams, treatments, procedures, and surgery, ensuring every patient receives attentive, skilled, and compassionate care. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment while supporting the overall function of the practice.

What You’ll Do
Provide compassionate care and safe restraint for patients
Assist DVMs with exams, treatments, procedures, and surgery
Perform diagnostic sample collection including blood, urine (free catch and cystocentesis), fecal, skin scrapings, and radiographs
Perform in‑house lab testing and prepare reference lab samples
Take vital signs, perform patient monitoring, and record TPRs
Prepare and administer medications as directed by DVMs
Fill prescriptions authorized by DVMs
Place and maintain IV catheters; set up IV pumps and monitoring equipment
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; maintain anesthesia and surgical records
Prepare patients for surgery, assist surgeons, and maintain anesthesia and surgical records
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and assist with dental procedures
Admit and monitor hospitalized patients and surgical cases
Maintain surgical suites, equipment, packs, cold trays, and inventory
Maintain lab and medical equipment per hospital schedule
Communicate with clients and accurately relay LVC discharge and home‑care instructions
Assist with client education, discharge instructions, and phone support as needed
Clean and restock exam rooms; sanitize hospital areas; sterilize instruments; manage laundry
Maintain stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgery
Perform other job‑related duties as necessary
